Safari Park Cox’s Bazar: A Safari Adventure You Can’t Afford to Miss

Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Safari Park, nestled in the breathtaking Dulahazara Reserve Forest Block, awaits nature enthusiasts and wildlife lovers on the eastern side of the Chittagong – Cox’s Bazar highway in Chakaria Upazila, Cox’s Bazar district. This once-thriving evergreen forest boasted majestic Gorjan, Bailam, Telsur, Civet, Chapalish, Champaful, and an array of birds and reptiles, including freely-roaming elephants, tigers, deer, bears, and monkeys.

Preserving Biodiversity:

Founded in 1982 as a deer breeding center spanning 42.5 hectares, the park aimed to safeguard the region’s flora and fauna from the adverse effects of population growth and illegal poaching. With a vision to further conserve this rich habitat of wild animals, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Safari Park was expanded to 300 hectares in 2001 and later to an impressive 900 hectares.
